I quite agree. You see it too with entrepreneurs like Richard Branson and Steve Jobs. I think to be an ‘outlier’ (to use Malcolm Gladwell’s term) you do have to be a bit on the unusual side.

Wow, great review of the book!

It’s funny how some of the smartest people have a spotty wild childhood. Benjamin Franklin was a bit wild too. Franklin, Edison and Einstein performed pooly in school at one time or another.

That the beauty of our societies (at least in US), one can mess up when they are young and still turn out to be rich and famous!!!

Firstly, thank you for some senseable info. on Mr. Buffet. He is a true investor, who stood the test of time (not a speculator). Having been “trained” by greats like Ben Graham and David Dodd, he still challenges the modern economic paradymns of share trading and investment. But most of all, is his true sense of modisty and humbleness. The modern day tycoon can take a few pages out of his book, and still not get it right. Simple put… his values and up-bringing project into everything he invested in at Berkshire Hathaway.
